Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask before switching. Still stuck? See the contact page.

Can I run Linqry on my own server?

No. Linqry is a hosted service only — there is no self-hosted or on-premise edition, and the source is not distributed. Every account runs on our infrastructure at $5 per site per month.

What does the cloud plan cost?

$5 per site per month, billed in USD, with a 30-day free trial and no card required to start. Prices exclude any applicable taxes. There are no seat limits: invite as many team members to a site as you like.

What happens when my trial ends?

Your dashboard pauses until you subscribe; the tracker keeps collecting events, so you lose no data. Subscribe from the Billing page at any point to pick up where you left off.

When am I charged?

Never during the trial. If you add a card during the trial, the first charge is on the day the trial ends, then monthly. If you subscribe after the trial ended, you are charged at checkout.

Can I cancel?

Yes, from the Billing page in one click. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for and are not charged again. Cancelling during the trial removes your card; the trial simply runs out.

What if a payment fails?

Your dashboard stays available for 7 days after a failed renewal while Razorpay retries your card; update your payment method from the Billing page.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit cards via Razorpay. Only the site owner can subscribe or cancel. Monthly charges are non-refundable, but cancelling stops all future charges and you keep access until the end of the paid period.

Do I need a cookie banner?

Linqry sets no cookies and stores no raw IP addresses. Visitors are identified by a server-side HMAC of IP, user agent and site, keyed by a salt that changes every day and is deleted after two days, so there is no persistent identifier. Whether your overall setup needs consent is a question for your own counsel; this is a description of how the software works, not legal advice.

How are visitors counted?

Because visitor IDs rotate every day, "visitors" means unique visitors per day, summed over the selected range. A person who visits on three different days counts three times. That is the price of not keeping a persistent identifier.

How do I track custom events?

Call window.linqry('event-name', { prop: 'value' }, revenueCents) from JavaScript, or add data-linqry-event="name" to any HTML element. Properties and revenue are optional.

Can I track revenue?

Yes. Pass a revenue amount to the JavaScript API, or send it from your backend with the site's write key to /api/track or /api/revenue. The Insights page breaks revenue and conversion down by source, campaign, country, device, OS and browser.

Does it work with SPAs and Next.js?

Yes. The tracker hooks history.pushState, history.replaceState and popstate, so route changes in React, Next.js, Vue and Svelte are captured automatically. Hash-only changes are ignored unless you set data-hash-routing.

Can I share my dashboard publicly?

Yes. Generate a public share token from site settings. Visitors see a read-only dashboard, no login required, and you choose which widgets are visible. Revoking the token kills the link immediately.

Will it handle my traffic?

Events are stored in Postgres with time-based indexes, and the ingest endpoint rate-limits per IP and per site. A single small server comfortably handles the traffic of most sites; if you outgrow it, scale Postgres like any other application.

How do I get support?

Customers can reach us at the support address on the Contact page. There is no phone support.
